If your backpack is ready, you must know that Cuzco is the old  head of the Inca Empire known as América’s Rome because of the amount of monuments it has such as the Inca Palaces, churches, archeological centers, and colonial homes that decorate the streets. A mysticism that atracts millions of tourists from all over the world.

The city is placed above 9 000 feet. In it, you can visit the Coricancha and make the religious circuit that leads to the Cathedral, the San Blas temple, and the Archbishop´s Palace. If you wish to visit more places, you can buy the Cuzco tourist ticket that allows access to 16 tourist spots.

Just 20  minutes away from Cuzco City you can find Sacsayhuamán. In this place, you can slide through the rock formations that are alike slides.

Known as the artisan land, you can witness the shearing of sheeps all the way through the comercialization of souvenirs, and you can watch the textile production process by the hand of their teacher. It is 45 minutes away in automobile from Cuzco City.

Pisac

It is another place near Cuzco city where an interesting archeological complex that extends through the height of a mountain is located.  It is believed to have been the royal farm of the Pachacutec Inca. The road to the complex will take you 45 minutes walking and about an hour to climb until you reach the spot.

Urubamba

If you are looking to scape the routine and enjoy the peace of the Sacred Valley, Urubamba is the best choice. To get there, you can take buses that leave from the city, and cost between 6 to 10 soles.

Ollantaytambo

From this point, most of the trains departure to the Inca city of Machu Picchu. To get to Ollantaytambo from Cuzco, you can take the Chinchero or Písac road in a 2 hour journey. There are buses that departure from the Pavitos strip, and have a cost between 10 and 15 soles.

It’s the most wanted destination by travellers. From the year 2007 it has been named as one of the seven wonders of the modern world. You can acquire your electronic ticket from the website. Afterwards, you must define which train you will be travelling in, then, once in Aguas Calientes, you must acquire a bus ticket that will go all the way up to the city entrance. Once there, enjoy the energy and magic of the Inca city.
